Scan errors

Occasionally you may receive errors while scanning your videos. Here are possible causes:
  1. You already converted the video to another format. Please make sure you only scan videos that came straight off your camera. Otherwise we can't guarantee that we'll be able to read the file.
  2. You chose videos imported into iPhoto. iPhoto creates small previews of your movies that can't be opened by Highlight Hunter. Please make sure you only scan videos that came straight off your camera.
  3. The video file is corrupted. One way this can happen is if your camera's battery dies while you're recording. The easy way to check is to play the video on your computer. If your media player gives you can error, there's unfortunately not much we can do. If this happens often, contact your camera's manufacturer and see what's up.
  4. If you're able to play the video just fine on your computer, please send us your troubleshooting logs.
