Sending troubleshooting logs

Last Updated: Oct 05, 2012 09:52AM PDT
We may come across an issue that we can't figure out on our own. In these rare cases we'll need to take a look at the geeky logs that the app creates. These logs don't contain any personal information like passwords, but they do give us some clues as to where things are starting to break.

If we ask for your troubleshooting logs, this is how to send them:

On Mac:
  1. Open the Highlight Hunter app
  2. Do whatever it is you did to trigger the problem in the first place. Hopefully the problem can be easily reproduced.
  3. Click the Help menu at the top of your screen and click Open Troubleshooting Logs. You should see a Finder window open with several files in it.
  4. Select all the files in the folder, right-click, and click Compress Items in the popup menu. This will create a single zip file containing all of the files.
  5. Send us an email and attach the zip file you created. We'll get back to you shortly!
